According to figures from the Ministry of Commerce of China, the trade volume between China and Türkiye in 2000 was $1 billion. At the end of 2008, this figure has increased 12 times to USD 1257 million. For the five years in 2010, the total trade between China and Türkiye was USD 706 million, up 46.3% year on year, the same period last year. Over the same period, the export value from China to Türkiye was 61.7 billion US dollars, up 39.5% year on year, the same period last year. In fact, China has become the 16th largest export market and the second largest import source of Türkiye.
